Rounds Speaks Out on Hot Springs V.A. Hospital

RAPID CITY--The fate of the hot springs VA hospital was Topic A for Sen. Mike Rounds, R-S.D., today when he met in Rapid City with KOTA Territory folks working to keep the facility open.

The administration budget request to Congress includes plans to close the hospital but Rounds says it provides important services for the nation's veterans.

"When these young men and women put their lives on the line and they're stepping forward they're honoring their commitment," said Rounds.  "I think we have to honor our commitment as well. So no we have to talk about what our needs are, not for the next five years but for the next 40 years."
