Our men and women in uniform make incredible sacrifices to protect and defend our freedoms. We have a responsibility to make sure they receive the care they’ve earned upon returning home. As a member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, I am committed to fighting for our veterans in South Dakota and across the country.
In 2022, I led a group of senators in blocking the formation of the VA AIR Commission that would have closed VA facilities in the Hot Springs, Sturgis and Wagner. I will continue working with my colleagues, veterans groups across the nation and other stakeholders to hold VA leadership accountable and make certain that our veterans are taken care of.
My office can serve as a liaison between veterans and the VA when issues arise. If you need help, please reach out to one of my offices to get in touch with a member of my team.
