Cybersecurity is involved in every aspect of our nation’s defense – air, land, sea and space – and will continue to rapidly evolve. As the Ranking Member on the Senate Armed Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, I remain committed to making certain the United States is equipped to defend against cyber-attacks. We must continue to increase and improve our nation’s defensive and offensive cyber capabilities. The threat of cyber-attacks is not going away, and we must continue to understand and utilize artificial intelligence for national security and defense purposes.
In addition, Dakota State University in Madison is uniquely positioned to grow our cybersecurity workforce and enhance our nation’s cyber capabilities. Its students and the work they do are crucial to the security of our state and our nation, and advocating for them is one of my top priorities.
